ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop is an invitation to slow down, soften your attention, and settle into the quiet rhythm of making.
Working with beautifully hand-dyed papers in five colour options, you’ll create an open paper rose, guided gently through each stage while allowing the flower to take shape naturally in your hands. The focus is on movement, texture, and staying present with the materials rather than following rigid steps.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a complete handcrafted flower, including the stamen and pod you’ve created — a simple, tangible reminder of time spent immersed in the process.
Held in a small group, the workshop offers a calm, supportive space and is suitable for beginners and all skill levels.

MEET THE ARTIST
Catherine Bowden
From weaving daisy chains as a child to pausing on her walk home to pluck roses petals, Catherine’s lifelong love affair with flowers has shaped every step of her creative journey. Roses, with their velvet petals and hidden hearts, became her first muse — teaching her to see beyond the surface and discover beauty in the smallest details.

That wonder still guides her today. Catherine is endlessly inspired by the elegance of petals, the intricate design of stamens, and the quiet poetry woven into nature itself. Through Floral Art by Catherine, she transforms these inspirations into hand-sculpted blooms and bespoke creations that celebrate both artistry and imagination.

Her work extends beyond individual pieces — Catherine is also a creativity consultant, bringing vision and expertise to clients through bespoke displays, boutique collaborations, and guidance for large-scale projects such as weddings and events. Each creation reflects her belief that flowers are more than decoration: they are timeless expressions of beauty, memory, and connection.
